Sponsors Help Ignite the Spark Behind WNC Foundation’s ‘Fire & Ice’ Gala on Aug. 2
Jul 22, 2025
Many sponsors in the community make WNC Foundation's Reach for the Stars Gala fundraiser a success.
When elegance meets excitement and community champions unite for a common cause, the result is Western Nevada College Foundation’s eighth annual Reach for the Stars Gala, returning Saturday, Aug. 2, to the Joe Dini Library in Carson City.
This year’s theme, “Fire & Ice,” promises a dazzling night of contrasts, where bold energy fuses with refined grace for a memorable evening of fine dining, entertainment and heartwarming student stories. The event will feature live and silent auctions, dinner, dancing and the opportunity to meet two inspiring WNC graduates.
The success of Reach for the Stars is made possible thanks to the generous support of sponsors who believe in WNC’s mission to build the region’s workforce and empower students through scholarships and career-focused programs. This year’s sponsor lineup shines as brightly as the night itself:
Briggs Electric, Metcalf Builders, Southwest Gas Corporation, Quick Space/United Rentals, Greater Nevada Credit Union, Carson Tahoe Health, Carson Valley Health, Classic Finishes, America First Credit Union, United Federal Credit Union, Comstock Inc., Plumas Bank, 3C House, Pay It Forward Project, Holiday Inn Express and Hometown Health have all stepped up to fuel the future.
Catalina Wilson, a 2025 WNC graduate, will reflect on her transformational journey toward higher education, capturing the true purpose behind the gala, and 2024 nursing graduate Alba Morales will receive an award after she started her own scholarship.
“If you haven't attended a Reach for the Stars Gala presented by WNC Foundation, now is the time!” said WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. “WNC Foundation and volunteers put on an incredible evening of entertainment, fine dining and community engagement — but most of all, it’s for an incredible cause in supporting our students and college.”
From showstopping décor to inspiring stories, every element of the gala reflects the Foundation’s mission to open doors of opportunity through access to education. Sponsorships, which range from $1,000 to $10,000, offer businesses and individuals a meaningful way to give back while gaining visibility in front of a committed and engaged audience.
Get your ticket to this memorable evening before it’s too late. They cost $200 per person, $380 per couple, or $1,500 for a table of eight. For tickets or sponsorships, visit wnc.edu/reach or call the WNC Foundation Office at 775-445-3240.
Don’t miss this chance to be part of a night where the energy is electric and the impact is lasting. As the gala proves every year, when the community comes together — magic happens.
