Metcalf Builders Helps Students “Reach for the Stars” at WNC Gala

Metcalf Builders is once again stepping up for students, proudly sponsoring Western Nevada College Foundation’s upcoming Reach for the Stars Gala — a night dedicated to celebrating student success and building a brighter future together.
With this year’s theme, “Fire and Ice,” Metcalf is investing in the next generation of skilled professionals, community leaders and innovators. The company’s support goes far beyond one night — it’s about helping WNC students gain the hands-on education and training that will power Northern Nevada’s future.
“This college is developing a pool of well-trained talent who are ready to meet the demands of the ever-growing job market in Northern Nevada,” said Bryce Clutts, President and CEO of Metcalf Builders and a dedicated member of the WNC Foundation Board. “We believe in WNC’s mission and are proud to help students turn their goals into careers.”
Metcalf’s commitment is visible across campus — from the Construction Management program to the iconic Jack C. Davis Observatory — as the company continues to back WNC initiatives that create real opportunities for students.
Founded in 1994, Metcalf Builders has deep roots in Northern Nevada and a long history of championing education and community growth. Under Clutts’ leadership, the company continues to support innovation, empowerment, and workforce development.
Now in its seventh year, the Reach for the Stars Gala celebrates the transformative impact of education. Set for Aug. 2 at the Joe Dini Library, the event promises an evening full of inspiration, entertainment, and opportunities to uplift WNC students. A follow-up golf tournament on Sept. 26 at Toiyabe Golf Course offers even more ways to support.
Sponsorships range from $1,000 to $7,500, providing a meaningful way for individuals and businesses to invest in education n— and in the region’s future workforce.
