Briggs Electric Powers Up Education at WNC Gala
In a powerful show of support for education and workforce development, Briggs Electric
is once again stepping up as a driving force behind Western Nevada College’s mission
to empower students. The company will serve as the Live Auction sponsor of WNC Foundation’s
signature fundraising event — Reach for the Stars Gala — set for Saturday, Aug. 2.
A recognized leader in electrical contracting, Briggs Electric is more than a business
success story — it’s a community partner committed to shaping the future.
“Western Nevada College is critical to developing the talent that will power our region’s
future,” said Greg Dye, General Manager of Briggs’ Nevada and Northern California
operations. “Backing WNC isn’t just philanthropy — it’s an investment in the people
who will innovate, build and lead.”
Briggs’ partnership with WNC runs deep. The company plays a key role in multiple fundraising
initiatives, including the Golf for Education Tournament, ensuring that more students
can access scholarships and pursue their educational goals — regardless of financial
barriers.
“Briggs Electric continues to lead by example,” said Niki Gladys, Executive Director
of the WNC Foundation. “Their commitment is about more than dollars — it’s about creating
opportunity and building a stronger Nevada.”
With a legacy dating back to 1946, Briggs Electric has become a vital player in northern
Nevada’s growth. From powering landmark projects like the Reno Events Center and Carson
City MAC to teaming up with industry innovators like Tesla and Panasonic, Briggs is
a company that knows how to get things done — and bring others along for the ride.
Now, they’re inviting the community to join the celebration. This year’s “Fire and
Ice” themed gala promises an unforgettable evening of purpose and inspiration at the
Joe Dini Library. And on Sept. 26, golfers will take the green for student success
at the annual tournament.
Spots are limited — don’t miss your chance to be part of the impact. For sponsorships
